We enjoy life in different ways because we are all special individuals. I have a confession to make- I had tendency to rush everything, which drove me crazy. Not yet finished, I over-planned for the fear of missing things out and not in completely control. It turned out to a vicious cycle that caused irritation and distracted me from focusing on the important things. Fortunately, progress has been made through self-care practice and now I have seen positive effects. Good things are worth sharing, so don’t hesitate to give them a shot if they sound helpful!
1. Do yoga
I have been doing yoga since I was in high school. This has been the 4th year and I have benefited from practicing. High school years were stressful: full of tests and long time studying at school, luckily, I found people on YouTube who recommended yoga. So, here I am. I love yoga because it always helps me focus on the present and strengthen my body.
If you have no idea where to start, you can begin with Yoga With Adriene, which is easy to follow for both beginners and advanced yogis.
2. Set priorities
Long to-do lists are bothering. In order for good time management, setting priorities helps concentrate on the most important tasks first and. The least later. Time will be controllable when we know what is adding value to life.
3. Spend time outdoors in nature
If anxiety easily takes control over you, then spending time with nature is going to save. Research has shown many positive effects of connecting with nature, for example: emotional regulation and memory functions. On top of that, nture walks and other outdoor activities build attention and focus (Hartig, 1991). In my opinion, it is a life-long lesson for us to learn balance and respect to our physical and mental health.
